At LMC Optometry, we are committed to positively impacting our local community and giving back is at the heart of our practice.
We believe in the importance of supporting the communities we serve. One way we do this is by partnering with local schools to promote children’s vision. We understand the vital role clear vision plays in a child’s academic success and overall well-being, which is why some of our clinics participate in the Eye See, Eye Learn Program.
We are passionate about supporting meaningful causes such as World Sight Day and Diabetes Awareness Month. World Sight Day, celebrated globally in October, highlights the prevalence of blindness and vision impairment worldwide and emphasizes the importance of eye health. To support this cause, we partner with the local Lions Club Foundation to collect used eyewear donated by our patients. These glasses are distributed on missions worldwide, providing life-changing vision care to those in need.
November marks National Diabetes Month, when organizations and communities nationwide raise awareness about the prevalence of diabetes and focus on preventing diabetes-related health problems. At LMC Optometry, we are dedicated to improving diabetes care by taking a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to our patients’ care. During September, our staff actively raises funds for Diabetes Canada, and throughout November, a portion of our sales is donated to support their vital work in diabetes research, education, and advocacy.
We are proud participants in the Diabetes Awareness Challenge—Lace Up To End Diabetes. This initiative embodies our commitment to making a difference in the fight against diabetes, and we are honoured to lace up our shoes and join the cause.
Thank you for choosing LMC Optometry. By supporting our practice, you are prioritizing your eye health and contributing to the well-being of others in our community and worldwide. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
